Family & Children’s Service: The Honey Alexander Center was the adaptive reuse of an abandoned steel frame, metal clad warehouse.  The core and shell renovation consisted of a new kingspan metal roof and wall system as well as the repurposing of the existing steel frame and slab.  The new 31,000 SF facility consists of new office space, conference rooms, training rooms, call center, restrooms, a new kitchen and a great deal of support space for the Family and Children Services team.  The site upgrades include new parking, bioretention as well as new utilities.

The transformation of this building both in appearance but more importantly in purpose is truly one of a kind. It now provides a bright, warm, safe and joyful space for Family & Children’s Service, so they can grow with Nashville and continue on their mission to connect individuals and families to hope, to healing and to one another.  Solomon Builders is extremely grateful to have been a part of this transformation.
